AIRPORT ANNOUNCES EXPLOSIVE DETECTING CANINE (EDC) PROGRAM

CASPER, WY – Natrona County International Airport (NCIA) officials announced the establishment of an Explosive Detecting Canine program at the Airport. Sarah Tischer, an Airport Public Safety Officer, recently returned from Lawrence, Kansas where she underwent several weeks of training with Wilco, her new black Labrador retriever and certified explosive detecting dog. Sarah and Wilco will have an increased visibility at the Airport. Both are trained to address explosive threats and incidents at Natrona County International Airport, as well as at other areas in and around Wyoming as part of the Regional Response Team. Besides three explosive detecting canines in Cheyenne, Wilco is the only other explosive detecting dog in Wyoming.
