AIRPORT ANNOUNCES UNITED AIRLINES AIRCRAFT UPGRADE
Tuesday, November 20, 2007
CASPER, WY – Natrona County International Airport (NCIA) officials announced that effective March 30, 2008, United Airlines will be upgrading two of their aircraft serving the Airport. Currently United provides 5 daily departures to and from Denver on Dash 8 aircraft. Effective March 30th United will be providing 4 daily departures to and from Denver, two on 50 passenger Canadair Regional Jets (CRJ) and two on the Dash 8 aircraft.
“The change in aircraft type is significant,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. “Passengers respond very well to the regional jet aircraft. The flight times with the Canadair Regional Jets are optimal for our business travelers, departing first thing in the morning and having the last arrival at night.” This upgrade comes after an upgrade to the Dash 8 aircraft by United in June. “To me this shows United’s continued commitment to serve our market, and we look forward to working with United on increasing the frequency of flights in the future,” said Januska.
