AIRPORT ANNOUNCES UNITED AIRLINES CASPER TO CHICAGO SERVICE
Monday, March 12, 2007
CASPER, WY – Casper / Natrona County International Airport (CNCIA) officials announced that effective June 5, 2008, United Airlines will begin direct service between the Airport and Chicago O’Hare Airport on a Canadair Regional Jet.
“The Chicago service is huge,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. “We have never had direct Chicago service even through Chicago is one of our top destination markets. Not only will passengers have direct service to Chicago, but great connections going east or southeast, and with Chicago, Casper passengers are just one connection away from anywhere in the world.” The service is on a five month trail basis, and United will evaluate it during that time to determine if the service will remain permanently. “Basically, the more the service is supported, the more likely it will remain in place, or return on a seasonal basis,” said Januska. The Chicago flight will depart Casper at 7:55 am, arriving at O’Hare at 11:28 am. The return flight will depart O’Hare at 7:55 pm, arriving in Casper at 9:32 pm.
United announced last November that beginning March 30th they will be providing regional jet service to Denver on two of their daily flights.
