Casper / Natrona County International Airport Selected

CASPER, WY – The Natrona County International Airport Board of Trustees approved a change to the Airport’s name at its meeting December 12th. Casper/Natrona County International Airport was the name selected by the Board after several months of discussions and feedback. The Airport will work on developing a new logo to reflect the name change, and will then begin updating Airport signage. Since the Airport is a self-sufficient operation, no taxpayer funds will be used to make the necessary changes.

“Changing the Airport’s name is an important step in creating a broader recognition of our service area, and will continue to be important as we develop and market the Airport Business/Industrial Park, the Foreign Trade Zone, and expanded Air Freight Operations,” said Tim Stubson, Airport Board President. “Branding the Airport in a way that recognizes our heritage as the County’s Airport, while making our service area more identifiable was important to us. A thoughtful branding and marketing program helps the Airport to grow its revenues and ultimately helps in attracting quality air service. The Board believes that the name change and development of a new logo is a step in the right direction.”
