AIRPORT RECEIVES DELIVERY OF NEW AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIREFIGHTING (ARFF) VEHICLE

CASPER, WY – Casper / Natrona County International Airport officials announced the delivery of a new ARFF Vehicle. The new vehicle, which carries 1,500 gallons of water, 210 gallons of foam, and 500 pounds of dry chemical, will be placed into service along with the Airport’s other two ARFF vehicles.
“The ARFF vehicle requirements, both in terms of the truck and response time are a function of the Airport’s “Index”, determined by scheduled commercial air service,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. “This new vehicle will help us ensure the best response to any aircraft emergency.”
The vehicle, manufactured by Rosenbauer America of Wyoming, Minnesota, cost $676,006, and was paid with 95% Federal Aviation Funds, 3% State Aviation Funds, and 2% Airport funds.
