STATE LOAN AND INVESTMENT BOARD (SLIB) APPROVES $617,483 IN GRANT FUNDING FOR AIRPORT FIBER PROJECT

The State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) approved Natrona County’s request of $617,483 in grant funding for the installation of approximately 30,000 linear feet of fiber optic cable in and around the Casper/Natrona County International Airport business park. The project will provide high speed connectivity to 30 existing businesses, over 50 residential tenants, with loops strategically run to provide connectivity to future developments. This project will allow the Airport to better market the business and industrial park. Installation of the fiber is anticipated to be completed next June 1st.
The SLIB is made up of the five statewide elected officials: Gov. Matt Mead, Secretary of State Max Maxfield, State Treasurer Joe Meyer, State Auditor Cynthia Cloud, and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill.
