Friday, January 28, 2011
Casper / Natrona County International Airport officials announce a training exercise on Monday, January 31st for the City of Casper Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding the search and seizure of drugs in aircraft. The Casper U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer coordinated the training exercise with the voluntary participation of seven aircraft owners having aircraft based at Casper/Natrona County International Airport. “We love helping facilitate training with Law Enforcement Officers at the Airport,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. “I’m grateful to Dale Leatham, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer for suggesting and coordinating the exercise and for the aircraft owners who allowed their aircraft to be utilized.” This realistic training event allows these officers to better respond to the Airport should such a real life situation dictate.
